Built in 1887, the Eldridge Street Synagogue is the first great house of worship built by Jewish immigrants in America. Today it has been meticulously restored and is a National Historic Landmark. Learn about the synagogue’s history, architecture and current life on a one hour tour. The Museum is open Sunday through Thursday from 10 am to 5 pm, and Friday from 10 am to 3 pm. Tours are offered on the hour (10, 11, 12, etc.). The Museum is closed on Saturdays and on major national and Jewish holidays. Tickets are $14 adults, $10 students and seniors.
