“I want to get involved. I want to do something. But, I don’t know where to start.”

In light of today’s shifting political landscape, many New Yorkers have been moved to take a more active role in their community. Unfortunately, it is easy to quickly become overwhelmed or feel unsure where to begin.  In an effort to directly address these feelings, Educational Alliance’s Manny Cantor Center will be hosting Meet and Mobilize: Volunteer for the Lower East Side. This special event during Lower East Side History month will provide an open opportunity for community members to engage with neighbors and local experts in order to determine how they can personally take action to serve Lower East Siders at this pressing time.

Come turn your values into action. Meet engaged neighbors, local experts, and Lower East Side non-profits to se how you can join together to serve your community. Self-care and community upstander techniques, voter registration, and volunteering resources offered. Open discussion tables available. Refreshments served.
